This is a brand new analog record. The following is quoted from the Botanical House website: Wow, this music is from Korea!? By Taiyo Someya (Lamp / Botanical House)Playing the CD.Track 1, and then Track 2...Nailed to the speakers. From the opening White Room to the final Knot, It´s a completely flawless masterpiece.-- Flawless or perfect means: 《The feeling of 100% pure music, where the songs, performances, sound production, ideas, and attitude and enthusiasm towards music, all come together in a desirable form as an album》, or rather, 《This is the feeling of the music I´ve been looking for》 --The opening track is folky, but with strange and interesting time signatures and harmonies. At the beginning of the second track, I thought, Oh, is this rock and roll...? but then a flowing chorus immediately comes in, followed by a razor-sharp acoustic guitar and vocals with a modulated pitch, and I was knocked out.I was convinced that this was an amazing work. The first time I played this CD, halfway through the third track, I was already writing an email to that person, expressing my excitement and asking questions about public morals.Every moment is incredibly detailed, but it´s not at all pretentious, and the sounds and noises blend in with a sense of inevitability, as if they were always meant to be there. The acoustic guitar picking and harmonies are amazing, but what I was even more drawn to was the use of pitches that deviate from the 12-tone scale. This is done very skillfully, and you can tell that the fluctuations in pitch are used effectively in various ways.I´m guessing that the acoustic guitar fluctuations in the 6th track, Moons, were made using a cassette tape MTR, but the way the pitch is off is exquisite and feels great! The instrument in the 5th track, Swamp, that sounds like a gamelan-like, slightly out-of-tune metallophone (what kind of instrument is this?), is also very effective. The overall impression of the album is a bit chaotic. But that´s just right for an album, for music. You´ll definitely enjoy it longer than music that you understand right away.Since starting the Botanical House label, I´ve only been releasing music made by home recording enthusiasts who have no desire for self-expression, and this experience has made me realize again what kind of music I´m drawn to.
