Vtg Allan Waller Lady Unicorn Halluin Medieval Tapestry Wall Hanging Lion Rabbit

Vintage 1983 limited edition Allan Waller Ltd tapestry; a detail of the historic “Lady and the Unicorn” masterwork from Paris´ Cluny Museum. It´s woven of wool, cotton & linen trheads in over 200 colors using the traditional Point de l´Halluin weave, developed in mid 1700s using Jacquard looms. Halluin became one of the most well-known centers of this new weave, eventually lending its name to this style of weaving. This 8-image tapestry series was released in a limited edition of 10,000 and is very hard to find today. 13 W x 17”H. Rear attached hanging rings. Brand new, w seal of authenticity on back.
