Each bracelet has a special antique shoe buckle as its inspiration.These buckles were made between 1890 and 1940 in France and the US. The oldest pieces are crafted from individual riveted steel beads made in Paris from 1890-1920. The rhinestone buckles were fashioned to resemble diamond broaches and can have sparkly white or subtle gray "diamonds". Bakelite buckles are from the 1940s-1950s. The bracelet band is made from tiny seed beads, woven in intricate patterns that relate to each buckle.
