Vintage French Couture Turquoise Glass Cabochon Rhinestone Gilt Knot Earrings

Vintage French couture earrings with a turquoise glass cabochon in a knot of interlocking chased gilt metal rings and accented by prong-set colorless rhinestones. Clip on closure. Absolutely gorgeous piece. I’ve seen this style attributed many times to being an early design by Robert Goossens for , but I’m not certain about that - Goossens certainly used the same chased metal ring components, and the clip-on closure is a style that appears in Goossens’ early work as well, but the prong settings and the soldering look to my eye like it might be the work of Roger Scemama.
