Large Alebrije Rabbit by Pepe Santiago Please Read Below.

This vintage alebrije rabbit was handmade by one of the older generation. José (Pepe) Santiago Ibañez is from San Antonio Arrazola, in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. He and his family have made a tradition of these beautiful copal wood carvings with amazingly detailed, hand painted designs. Please look at the photos carefully to view the obvious damage from age. These creations are known as folk art, but each one is unique. It is about 7 tall by 5 long by 4 wide. There is also a smaller one available.
