The missing stitching is decorative. The seams are not split. The tag says size 38. They measure 16 flat across the waistband. 21.5 flat across the rear just below the pockets. 16.5 from crotch to top of waist band. 12.5 across the leg just below the crotch. 27 from crotch to bottom of leg. 10.75 flat across cuff.
