1876 AETNA GLASS ADONIS GONTERMAN SWIRL SATIN W/AMBER SET.Creamer, Sugar Bowl with Lid and Spooner Dated August 5th 1876. It was made by Aetna Glass & Manufacturing Company and the pattern is Adonis or Gonterman Swirl . It is clear satin glass with an applied amber top. A super hard to find shape in the Adonis/Gonterman swirl pattern by Aetna Glass. It was first patented in 1879 to Hobbs Brockunier to be produced and marketed about 10 years later. This patent actually involve the fusing process of the top portion to the bottom, a process which Hobbs developed.Sugar Bowl: Ht: 6.25 W: 5 Creamer: Htv 5.5 W: 4.5 Spooner: Ht: 4.25 W: 4 Sugar Bowl is in good condition. The Creamer and Spooner have several chips but are still functional. See pictures.
