European sailors would have been familiar with the saying ´red sky at night, sailor´s delight; red sky in the morning, sailor´s warning´. Cold fronts usually move from west to east.There are approximately 840 2” Stars. Each star is has 7 tiny pieces. WOW!! Then there are the 2” Octagon pieces. Folks A lot of tiny small pieces in this quilt. It’s got a unique X stitch for the quilting. Soft brush cotton back. Measures 6’1 x 6’7Sorry folks this is the best I can do to describe this master piece. I am not a quilter. Just love antique quilts and estate sales.
