He was born October 3, 1996, and his poem reads: This little dog can´t wait to grow To rescue people lost in the snow Don´t let him out--keep him on your shelf He doesn´t know how to rescue himself. Bernie has the markings of a champion; cream-colored fabric covers his underbelly, paws, collar, forehead, muzzle, and the tip of his tail.
