Several variations of Mel exist, including: Original Beanie Baby:This version, style number 4162, was made with both PE and PVC pellets and has a 5th generation swing tag and a 6th generation tush tag. It is about 7.5 to 8 inches long. Some original versions have errors, like extra spaces in the tag or a missing stamp, which can make them more valuable. Teenie Beanie Baby:A smaller version of Mel was included in McDonald´s Happy Meals in 1998 as part of the Teenie Beanie Babies collection. Other variations:Mel was also part of some sports promotions, such as with the Detroit Shock (07/25/98) and the Anaheim Angels (09/06/98). Some versions were handmade in Indonesia with a Canadian tush tag.
