Vintage No. 8 L.C. Smith & Corona typewriter from Typewriter Inc.

Hey all! I’m helping my grandma move into a smaller place and she asked me to help her sell this. So, I troubleshot it for a little bit and it needs a new ink ribbon and I’m not sure where it’s wrong in there but the platen doesn’t shift to the left when a key is pressed. It’ll slide if you slowly push it while you type, it just doesn’t do it automatically. Other than that though, everything else seems to be perfectly fine!
