4 Sets of Ardalt Vintage Cup and Saucers 4 Bread & Butter Plates made in Japan.

Drinking from the cup of history - Ardalt cup and saucer with bread and butter platesThe American Co Ardalt Inc was established at Lexington Ave, New York in 1945. They imported Occupied Japan’s and Germany’s porcelain goods – everything from tea and coffee sets, dinnerware, figurines, beer steins. Some of the imports were reproductions and also original designs. A single find that is still in pristine condition considering the piece is between 65 and 68 years old. There is some wear on the gold rim found in one of the bread and butter plates but no chips, cracks, or breaks. The markings are still clear and visible stamped as follows – ARDALT Lenwille Made in Occupied Japan. These are hand-painted gold with a scalloped edge saucer and cups w/ floral designs & gold trim.This set consists of: (4) cups which measure: 1 ¾” tall, 2 7/8” diameter, (4) saucers which measure: 4 3/8” diameter.(4) bread and butter plates which measure:7.5 Very rare and beautiful Vintage set.
