Rare Vintage Engel Brothers Rhinestone, Faux Ruby,Tahitian Pearl Choker/Necklace

This is a lovely vintage necklace/choker by Engel Brothers circa 1930´3-1940´s. There aren´t a lot of their pieces on the market and though I have seen one similar necklace I have never seen this one in Ruby, diamond, pearl design. Engel Bros. jewelry was a partnership between Alfred and Frederick Engel founded in New York in 1930. The jewelry is high quality work - much of it in Art Deco style and could remind one of the work of Diamonbar. Their jewelry will be marked EB within a diamond shaped cartouche which was trademarked in 1943. This was my grandmothers, it is in pristine condition, marked EB on fold over clasp. It is a bright silver finish, though unmarked I assume it is rhodium plated silver. All prong set stones are paste ( faux) and I assume all the graduating sized tear shaped Tahitian pearls are faux. It is a lovely piece, my measurements are approximate.. 15" tip to tip and the the largest pearl hangs 1/2".
