Macintosh PowerBook G3 - Power On: Yes/Working - Junk

This is a Macintosh PowerBook G3.It belonged to my grandfather, so I don´t have much knowledge about it.I plugged in the power cable, and the green light came on, indicating power, but it shuts down after making a sound like it´s starting up.Therefore, I´m considering it a junk item.I couldn´t see any screen burn-in, but I haven´t turned on the screen, so I can´t say for sure. Please understand.
