*( Janis Joplin Autographed Series 1957B 1 Silver Certificate )* In 1966, some San Francisco refugees bought an old building, fixed it up, and moved themselves upstairs. They then went to San Francisco to look for a house band. There they founded The Charlatans, and they were looking for their first gig. From the center stage of the Red Dog Saloon the Charlatans introduced the world to some of the finest psychedelic blues/rock and roll ever to come out of the 1960s. In 1966 the house band was Big Brother & The Holding Company. Janis Joplin joined the band here as a member of Big Brother, and soon the completed Holding Company ventured again to San Francisco and straight into history. Janis Joplin signed this rare Series 1957B 1 Silver Certificate here at the Red Dog Saloon in Virginia City, Nevada following a Big Brother & The Holding Company set on the evening of June 17, 1966. This very rare peace of music history has been authenticated and has COA.
