This is an ornate antique daguerreotype or ambrotype photo case made by Holmes, Booth & Haydens, known for their photographic supplies in the mid-1800s. The case features beautiful raised floral and scrollwork designs on both sides, gold-tone hinges, and original red velvet padding inside.The interior holds a black-and-white snapshot dated 1941, labeled as taken in Phoenix, Arizona, along with a handwritten sentiment:“Talking of Friendship – There are all kinds of ships.
